Attention Superhero Moms!

Mothers give and give and give some more. Instinctually, we think it is our job to serve selflessly, organizing the lives of others in our family so they are protected from pain or anguish. Events are executed seamlessly, because we planned and troubleshooted obstacles in advance.

We are successful Moms. Yet, there is a lurking thought – “What is left for me?”
We collapse at the end of the day into a deep sleep sometimes interrupted by children, partners and/or the dog’s impulse to take a trip to the potty…tossing and turning to fall back asleep without success, only to get up a few hours later to run the race again.

We are deeply grateful, truly joyful for our wonderful family but torn by the pull of our hearts toward our own ambition, our own dreams, our own aspirations.

How do you follow your heart when you are an exhausted Mom?

“Wanting more does not mean that you are selfish or incapable of being satisfied; it means that you have uncovered something within you that wants to blossom and flourish?”

Imagine us Superhero Moms who do it all at the speed of light, actually taught our children, leading by example, to slow down and honour our dreams. To listen and become aware and take the time to consider the beauty that can be shared in the world if our dreams really came true! Imagine the impact that would have on our family.

Exercise: Just like you would do for your child when you are considering a new activity.

1) Look at your calendar and schedule one sacred night per week for the next 12 weeks for yourself. (If your stomach just did a somersault, your body just sent you a strong message that this is for you)
2) Choose. Do something you have said you wanted to do for the last few months, years.
3) Communicate. Let everyone in your house know that this is your night out. Then remove yourself from your house for at least 2 hours.
4) Commit. Do not make excuses. Go and do it. Follow through. Let people support you. Empower them. Delegate and share the responsibility.
5) Play and expand and recognize this shift from restriction to expansion.

Thank you for all of your support, well wishes, love and positive energy over the last few weeks!! The Follow Your Heart book launch was a dream come true!

Tara Brown organized the perfect event along with Chad at the Leamington Arts Centre and Norrine Mattea created the perfect floral designs and Roberta Dibbley and Sheila Goodfellow warmly welcomed and my mom baked the most delicious desserts! And I had the pleasure of interacting with all of our guests! JOY!!

My dream came true! And I am honoured by the amount of love and support that I received! Thank you!

Taking My Own Advice…

Surprisingly, this was an interesting journey to practice taking my own advice and celebrate my own success.

I encourage others all the time to stop and really appreciate their accomplishments but for celebrating the book, I have to admit I was a little uncomfortable at first. However, I am stepping out of my way and receiving the blessings being sent to me.

Be Radiant! Trust Feeling Good

When you follow your heart, you trust your deeper intuitive self. You show love to yourself and to others. The physical reaction when following your heart is like a glowing white light beaming in all directions from you but concentrated from your chest—your heart.

Time disappears and all is radiant. You feel peace and joy. Our egos usually talk us out of something because of fear of the unknown, but our hearts always lead us to what we truly desire. When you follow your heart and receive its desires, you will feel good—really good! Therefore, trust what feels good in your heart and use this feeling as guidance; this “feeling good” is aligned with our hearts and our life purpose.

Embrace your Life! Enjoy!
